After having a late lunch near the Rialto, we made our trek back to the Venezia train station before the sun went down. On the way back we were walking through a small alley way and we heard loud music linger through the quiet streets, so we followed. We were happy when we found little children ice skating, parents strolling the little market that lined the inside of the piazza... and we were taken aback by an old Italian woman
yelling advertising her meats and cheeses. I swear she was Sophia Petrillo's older, yelling, grumpy sister.
PS- Sophia Petrillo was Dorothy Zbornak's mother on the Golden Girls. But, of course you knew that ;)
