my dream house looks like this

I stumbled upon this house on one of my favorite home design sites and I instantly fell in love. I swooned while scrolling ever-so-slowly down the page. Although this gorgeous piece of estate is located and perched up on a peak in Kangaroo Valley in South Wales, Billy Joel's "New York State of Mind" was playing on my speakers while I scrolled thru and it fit so perfectly. It wasn't really the lyrics, but his voice (circa '78) sounded like it was made for this house.

Anyways, back to the swooning of the house not Billy Joel - rabbit trails I tell ya! - this home bleeds a classic-rustic feel and it looks so warm and comfortable. The greenery that surrounds it allows the house to be splattered with neutral color tones and enables it to play nicely with pinks and purples.

I don't think I'll ever get over this house. I will forever have it bookmarked, it'll always be in my archives and I will SPECIALLY label it here on my blog just so I can find it anytime I may need to at any given time.

I'm hooked!

  1. I agree with you! The house has this rustic-vintage feel. It looks alluring and very cozy. And the lush surroundings add charm to the house. The design and the colors are very tasteful! I can imagine myself sitting on that porch while reading my favorite book! Ahh, that would be so relaxing.
